During her studies, she developed a strong interest in addressing health disparities, particularly those affecting women and children, where her dissertation was focused on the facilitators and barriers to ending female genital mutilation from a youth activist’s perspective in Kenya.
Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Mica is committed to empowering women both within and outside the medical profession. She serves as a Board Member for Tunaweza Empowerment, where she has helped to secure women’s menstrual hygiene products via Leeds, UK-based charity Freedom 4 Girls. She has also run a fundraising event based in the UK, which raised funds for Tunaweza Empowerment.
She is in obstetrics and gynecology, combining her medical expertise with her dedication to women’s health and empowerment
