Gloria Ochola is the Founder and Executive Director of Tunaweza Empowerment Organization. Gloria Ochola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Project Planning and Management, with a diploma in Community Health and Development. Gloria recently attained a certification for Diploma in Counselling Psychology and is a practicing mental health Activist. Gloria has experience in organizational leadership and management for 7 years as the Executive Director for Tunaweza Empowerment Organization. Skilled in people management, coaching & mentorship, support supervision, and gender responsive programming. Gloria is Skilled in advocacy, project planning, monitoring and evaluation, organizational development, and systems strengthening.
As an ardent Human Rights Defender, Gloria has been on the front line to end Female Genital Mutilation, Gender Based Violence, and Extrajudicial Killings. experienced in provision of technical support and capacity strengthening to community-based health and development groups, proven ability to partner effectively with Government line Ministries of Health, Education, Children and Youth Affairs in the Counties & Sub-Counties, local community organizations, and other stakeholders. Gloria’s experience and passion in Qualitative and Quantitative Research methodologies in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Services for 3 years has enhanced the organizational programming for adolescents’ health, as well as an increase in the County’s budgetary allocation for Adolescent Sexual and reproductive health.
